A dark dining room with outdated wall paper, window treatments and lighting.
Simple paint, drapes and an updated chandelier transformed it!
A dark, but open space needed new paint and furnishings to transition it to a welcoming space for this family of 7
We divided the room into two unique spaces; an art/music space for this vibrant family's five children, and a sitting space for the entire family...
Sometimes furniture placement and paint can make all the difference!
We changed the layout of the room to provide more space for a home office, bought a new headboard and dresser, brightened the walls, installed a fun ceiling fan and bought new bedding and drapes.
A dark space was uninviting for guests
Brighter paint, a new sectional and drapes and some fun wall art made all the difference!
The client loved the wall hanging TV console! (Client intends to replace the flooring with carpeting, which is why there is no area rug.)
An outdated and disorganized foyer with mismatched furniture did not exactly welcome guests to the home...
Brightening the walls, adding a mirror and plant life with a vibrant Ruggable transformed the space.
BEFORE
This teenager had a vision for LED lighting, a dry erase wall she could design on, and black accessories
BEFORE ~ We had to add a wall here to divide this space into two bedrooms...
A little girl's dream bedroom...
BEFORE ~ We needed to add another wall here to divide this space into a media room and a bedroom...
Using the customers family room furniture, we made this a fun hangout spot for their kids to play video games and watch TV.
A bright and vibrant young boys bedroom...
Gorgeous open floor plan, but uninviting with the dark carpeting and mismatched furnishings...
First we tore out the carpeting and replaced it with a beautiful hardwood floor (installed by Brad Martina with Brad's Artistic Boards & Creations). Next, we had custom shelves built to frame the focal point of the room, and painted the coffered ceiling a bright white to draw your eyes upwards.
Furnishings by Arhaus and West Elm. Decor by West Elm and, our local, Windy Acres Barn Boutique.
Lots of earthy decor, with live plants from Wayside Garden, brought life to the room. Planters by West Elm.
The basket with blush blanket concealed the client's extensive surround sound, DVD and cable system and all wiring.
Potential, potential, potential! This kitchen needed a total makeover including flooring, paint, hardware, counters, furnishings...the works!
The current paint color clashed with the color of the cabinets and wood table. Also, did you know that reds and oranges are known to cause anxiety, and also increase hunger?
A beautiful, solid oak table but outdated for my trendy client...
We worked tirelessly at sanding this table and chairs down, staining it multiple times to get the exact color we wanted. By painting the pedestal and chairs Benjamin Moore "White Dove" we easily brightened the area.
Flooring is a resilient tile that no one would ever believe isn't marble, by Color Tile.
Counters are Rhapsody by Rocky Mountain Granite. Backsplash is an Italian marble by Color Tile, walls are Benjamin Moore "Piano Concerto."
We saved money by replacing cabinet hardware, and painting the cabinets Benjamin Moore "White Dove," rather than replacing them.
Trim is all Benjamin Moore "Chantilly Lace."
A yellow family room...enough said...
The mantle, fireplace doors and sparse decor made this focal point boring and outdated.
We purchased two simple 6' long butcher blocks from Home Depot for $99 each
They took one coat of stain and came out like this!
I designed the wall space to have, what would appear to be, custom made bookcases. To save money, we purchased KraftMaid cabinetry from Lowes and hired someone to install them with moldings to give the impression they were built-ins.
Voila! All finished and with the perfect amount of room to store books and DVDs...
A "before" foyer with dark walls and white ceramic 80's tile
A foyer transformation with lighter walls, new marble flooring, chandelier and accessories
A guest bedroom transformed to...
...a little girls bedroom
I refininshed this end table with Kate Spade emerald paint and new hardware for less than $15. The glass and gold lamp brought together the gold and glass hardware.
I was so excited for this project, that I forgot to take a true "before" picture of this space! I selected a bright victorian, feminine wall paper for this Boston seaside home.
